'Zoey 101'
At the time, it was believed that Zoey 101 ended because Jamie Lynn Spears got pregnant. Just weeks after the news hit the web that the actress was expecting her first child, Nickelodeon decided to end the show.
"We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being," the network said in a statement.
But in January 2019, the actress claimed that wasn't the reason the show got canceled after all. The blonde beauty said that the show ended simply because her contract had finished, and she wanted to go back to school.
"14 years later… still a jam. #itdidNOTendbecauseofpregnancy #contractwasfinished," she wrote on Instagam, alongside a video of the iconic theme song.
When one fan commented, "Oh wow you didn't quit because you were pregnant, you waited this long to tell us," Jamie Lynn replied, "Nope… I went home to finish high school and was going to pursue movies."
"Would the contract have been extended if not for pregnancy?" another fan asked. "No," the former Nickelodeon star wrote.

'Victorious'
When it was announced that Victorious was coming to an end in 2013, fans quickly accused Ariana Grande of being the reason behind the cancelation, claiming that her involvement in the spinoff series Sam & Cat was to blame. But the singer explained that the actual reason the show ended was because someone didn't want to have a cast tour, and instead, wanted to go solo. Though she didn't name names, all signs pointed toVictoria Justice.
"Sweetheart the only reasonVictorious ended is because one girl didn't want to do it," the "NASA" singer wrote in a now-deleted post. "She chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour. If we had done a cast tour Nickelodeon would have ordered another season of Victorious whileSam and Cat filmed simultaneously but she chose otherwise."
Victoria was quick to defend herself, writing in a now-deleted tweet: "Some people would throw someone that they consider a friend under the bus just to make themselves look good. #StopBeingAPhony #IfTheyOnlyKnew."

'Sam & Cat'
Fans speculated that Sam & Cat was canceled because Jennette McCurdy and Ariana were the midst of a major feud. There were even rumors that Jennette left the show because was getting paid less than her costar, but it turns out the series ended for an entirely different reason. In a lengthy post on Reddit, Jennette explained that she left the network after racy photos of herself leaked on the web.
"I left Nickelodeon recently because I needed to move forward with my life. I don't believe people should attack me because their image of me is destroyed after I post a harmless, sultry photo," Jennette said. "I don't believe an actor/actress should lose the rights to be themselves in an attempt to cater to the image that was created by a character they played. That's all."

'So Random'
Sonny With a Chance's story continued without the "Tell Me You Love Me" songstress in a spinoff series called So Random. That is, until that show got canceled too. The network claimed that the reason behind this show's cancellation was due to the poor ratings, but some fans also suspected that Tiffany Thornton's sudden pregnancy had something to do with it — especially since the show ended just months after she made the announcement.

After Wizards of Waverly Place came to an end in 2012, Jake T. Austin totally shaded Selena Gomez on Twitter, claiming that she decided to leave the show to pursue more mature roles.

'Even Stevens'
In the late 1990s and 2000s, there was apparently a strange rule on the Disney Channel that no television show, no matter its popularity, was allowed to go on for more than 65 episodes. And that's why Even Stevens was rumored to have been canceled, despite its major popularity.

'Lizzie McGuire'
Hilary Duff's mom revealed that the actress left Lizzie McGuire due to a disagreement over money.

'Suite Life On Deck'
Although Suite Life On Deck show ended after three seasons, Dylan and Cole Sprouse were really pushing for another. According to Dylan, the boys pitched an awesome new idea to the network for Season 4, but were unfortunately turned down. A little while later, however, Disney approached the twins with a similar idea, and that was the final straw.
"They pitched us our idea, in Miami, with Selena Gomez. And Cole and I turned to each other… we basically laughed in their face and walked out," Dylan said. "That was the last meeting we had with Disney. We were just like no, that was the end."

'Andi Mack'
Some fans have speculated that Andi Mack got canceled after the actor who played Andi's grandfather, Stoney Westmoreland, was arrested. The cancelation definitely came as a surprise to fans, since the show was the network's most-watched series and the highest-rated program among audiences age 6 to 14.

Raviv Ullman revealed to Seventeen Magazine that the reason Phil of the Future was forced to come to an end most likely had to do with the way it was filmed.
"It can be a lot more expensive to shoot a single-camera show," he explained. "I know that we were just a much more expensive show than what they were doing at the time. For a network, a lot of it is business and trying to figure out."
